El Refugio Costa Ballena is an animal shelter and rescue organization that wanted to a create an engaging and educational website to share information about their organization and the animals they help.
They wanted to integrate their Shelter Manager software with the website to automatically generate a page that would display the animals available for adoption from their back-end system in real-time. They also wanted to be able to accept donations via PayPal and credit card directly on their website, maintain an event calendar, and offer their site in English and Spanish without having to do manual translations.

They rescue, rehabilitate, and adopt out homeless animals, sponsor low-cost spay and neuter events in local communities, provide community outreach services for pets of local families in need, and present animal welfare education programs to local students.
